When considering getting into underwater video or photography ask yourself a number of questions before you spend any money on cameras or housings:
- What would you like to do with your images? (personal souvenirs? professional work?)
- Do you want to start with a basic set up and then expand as you advance?
- Do you want to have full control over all the functions of your camera?
- Do you want the option of adding optics or external strobes?
Asking yourself these basic questions will avoid spending money on something that in the end will not deliver what you want.
